Despite HP Inc. (HPQ) beating Q1 FY2026 revenue and non-GAAP EPS estimates, its shares have fallen 31% over the past year due to significant memory cost headwinds and declining printing revenue. Although AI PCs now constitute over 35% of PC shipments, gross profit and operating income have declined, and management anticipates persistent memory volatility and a double-digit drop in PC unit shipments for 2026. This ongoing margin pressure from component inflation and volume decline is also affecting competitors like Dell.
