The State Administration for Market Regulation issues 13 departmental rules to continuously improve the food safety legal and regulatory system.

Reporters learned today that in 2025, the State Administration for Market Regulation will continue to improve the regulatory framework and institutional system for food safety, and will promote higher-quality and more efficient governance of food safety. Work will be completed on the revision of the Food Safety Law of the People’s Republic of China, establishing by law a licensing system for road transport of key liquid foods in bulk containers, effectively preventing “secondary contamination” in the transport process. Infant formula liquid milk will be brought under registration management, adding another “safety lock” for infant dietary safety. In response to stubborn problems strongly reflected by the public, such as difficulty in identifying food labels and “ghost takeout” from online catering, the State Administration for Market Regulation has issued 13 rules and regulations, covering multiple areas including production and operation, label identification and marking, centralized dining, and online transactions.
