By the close of trading, the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) May crude oil futures price increased by $11.42, closing at $111.54 per barrel, a gain of 11.41%; the June delivery London Brent crude oil futures price rose by $7.87, closing at $109.03 per barrel, a gain of 7.78%.
