Xinhua News Agency, Tehran, March 26 - According to a report from the Islamic Republic News Agency on the 26th, Iranian President Raeisi spoke with Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar on the same day, expressing Iran’s commitment to fully ending the war and emphasizing that Iran has never sought to possess nuclear weapons.

Raeisi and Anwar exchanged views on the regional and international situation since the U.S. and Israel launched attacks against Iran. The report stated that Raeisi mentioned that Iran’s strikes against U.S. military bases in the Middle East are a legitimate response to aggressors, and he emphasized that Islamic countries should not allow enemies to take the opportunity to create division and conflict in the region.

Raeisi stressed that Iran has never sought to possess nuclear weapons, with multiple reports from the International Atomic Energy Agency proving this fact. He pointed out that the accusations regarding Iran’s pursuit of nuclear weapons serve as an excuse for the “illegal and inhumane aggression” against Iran.

He stated that Iran is committed to fully ending the war, achieving regional security and stability, and hopes to rid the region of the disasters created by enemy attempts with the help of Islamic countries.

The report indicated that Anwar emphasized during the call that Malaysia opposes and condemns any actions that violate Iran’s national sovereignty and territorial integrity. He expressed agreement with Iran’s legitimate stance on the necessity of ending the war against all Islamic countries in the region and ensuring that military aggression against Iran does not happen again, emphasizing that Islamic countries should continue diplomatic efforts to achieve regional stability and security.
