Sector Movement | A-shares Lithium Battery Sector Gains Strength
Source: Shanghai Securities News · China Securities Network
Shanghai Securities News China Securities Network (Reporter Lin Yulian, Zeng Qingyi) - On March 27, the lithium battery sector saw significant gains. As of 1:57 PM, the sector had risen nearly 3%; among individual stocks, Haike Xinyuan, Jiangte Motor, Yongshan Lithium Industry, Nord Shares, Shenzhen New Star, Hangzhou Electric Shares, and several others reached the daily limit.
Zheshang Securities believes that on the demand side, due to the continuation of volume electricity pricing/capacity subsidy policies in China, AIDC energy storage has begun to scale up. In terms of power batteries, the penetration rate of commercial vehicles and the increase in battery capacity per vehicle are driving battery demand. It is expected that from 2026 to 2028, global lithium battery shipments will reach 2.8, 3.5, and 4.0 TWh, representing year-on-year growth of 25%, 22%, and 17%, respectively. On the supply side, expansion in the upstream and midstream is relatively cautious, capacity utilization rates are continuously improving, and market shares are increasingly concentrated among leading companies. The materials sector is likely to recover profits and reverse performance. It is recommended to pay attention to the battery, diaphragm, lithium carbonate, and lithium hexafluorophosphate segments based on factors such as supply and demand relationships, market competition patterns, capacity expansion cycles, and profit distribution in the industry chain.
