IT Home reported on March 17 that NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang expressed gratitude to Samsung Electronics for manufacturing the Groq 3 (LP30) LPU chip during his keynote speech at GTC 2026. Samsung is fully committed to accelerating the production of this product. The NVIDIA Groq 3 LPX rack, based on Groq 3, is expected to be launched in the second half of this year.

IT Home noted that since the 8nm node, Samsung has repeatedly lost opportunities to provide advanced wafer foundry services for NVIDIA, a major client. This, along with losing mobile orders, has affected the utilization rate of its production lines, leading to long-term massive losses in Samsung’s wafer foundry business.

With Groq 3, Samsung Electronics has once again entered NVIDIA’s advanced process supply chain. This not only benefits the revenue improvement of its wafer foundry business but also holds the potential for Samsung to capture a share of TSMC’s remaining market in NVIDIA’s now rich and comprehensive chip product line.
