On March 26, Maoyan Entertainment (stock code: 01896.HK) released its full-year performance announcement for 2025. The announcement showed that total revenue for 2025 was 4.631 billion yuan, a 13.5% increase compared to the same period last year; net profit was 563 million yuan, a 209.6% increase year-on-year; adjusted net profit for the period was 677 million yuan, a 118.7% increase compared to the same period last year.
Focusing on the core film service sector, Maoyan Entertainment participated in the promotion and production of a total of 73 films throughout the year, including 55 domestic films and 18 imported films, with both the number of films participated and box office coverage reaching historical highs for the same period.
The offline performance market remained hot in 2025, and Maoyan Entertainment’s live entertainment business advanced in line with market rhythms, with the GMV and coverage of local performance projects continuously improving, where the GMV of local folk arts and stand-up comedy grew year-on-year by 90% and 70%, respectively.
In addition, during the reporting period, Maoyan Entertainment’s online movie ticketing business maintained stable operations, actively innovating ticketing cooperation scenarios, serving over 4,000 cinemas nationwide, and jointly creating a new ecosystem for local entertainment consumption.
In terms of IP, in 2025, Maoyan Entertainment continued to explore IP derivative product business. During the reporting period, the company collaborated on 14 animated films, covering classic imported animations and original Chinese animations, balancing mature IPs with new projects, featuring a rich variety of genres and diverse styles.
