Rising bond yields and oil prices cause a rebound; Dow Jones once dropped nearly 900

U.S. President Trump announced that the deadline for striking Iranian power plants and energy infrastructure has been extended by 10 days to April 6. However, an Iranian nuclear facility with a heavy water reactor and a uranium processing plant producing “yellowcake” were still attacked. Iran’s two largest steel mills were also targeted, increasing market unease. Coupled with rising yields on U.S. long-term bonds, the Dow Jones dropped nearly 900 points on Friday, with all three major indices closing near their daily lows.
