CME Group’s gold and copper trading volume increased, while silver decreased; the open interest for gold, silver, and copper all increased. The trading volume for gold futures was 358,172 contracts, an increase of 66,364 contracts compared to the previous trading day. The open interest was 404,674 contracts, an increase of 749 contracts compared to the previous trading day. The trading volume for silver futures was 52,376 contracts, a decrease of 5,431 contracts compared to the previous trading day. The open interest was 114,003 contracts, an increase of 839 contracts compared to the previous trading day. The trading volume for copper futures was 62,775 contracts, an increase of 2,844 contracts compared to the previous trading day. The open interest was 223,842 contracts, an increase of 2,070 contracts compared to the previous trading day.
