Tech giant gives St. Petersburg College $1.1M for workforce programs

Jabil Inc., a St. Petersburg-based technology giant, has donated $1.1 million to St. Petersburg College over three years to strengthen its career training programs and manufacturing workforce pipeline. The funding will expand student access to technology, lab equipment, and materials, provide scholarships for certifications like soldering and mechatronics, and improve workforce readiness. Jabil will also collaborate with faculty to develop high-impact curricula for in-demand manufacturing jobs.
