Caixin “Intellectual property plays a unique role in China’s entire innovation system.” On March 25, Bai Guangqing, senior advisor at the China Office of the World Intellectual Property Organization, stated at a sub-forum of the Zhongguancun Forum that China, in planning its entire innovation system, is also strategizing around intellectual property. China has turned intellectual property into an intangible asset for large-scale application, ultimately gaining global competitiveness and achieving strategic goals.

He cited the current booming artificial intelligence wave as an example. During model invocation, it costs only $0.3 per million tokens in China, while in the U.S. it costs $5, a 17-fold difference. This demonstrates China’s competitiveness.
