IT Home February 27 News, AMD released the Adrenalin Edition 26.2.2 graphics driver yesterday (February 26), adding support for the games “Resident Evil: Village” and “Lost Starship: Marathon.”

For Capcom’s horror survival game “Resident Evil: Village” and Bungie’s extraction-style shooter “Lost Starship: Marathon,” AMD has not detailed the performance improvements brought by the new driver. However, to ensure the best gaming experience, the company strongly recommends players install this version before entering the game.

In addition to supporting new games, the latest driver also focuses on fixing two prominent issues recently encountered by Radeon RX 7000 series graphics card users:

  • The development team fixed an issue where players experienced application crashes or driver timeouts when switching multimedia tasks in “Roblox.”

  • The new driver completely resolves texture flickering or screen corruption issues that could occur in Windows desktop applications after enabling “Instant Replay” and “Record Desktop” features.

IT Home cites a blog post stating that AMD is still working to address several known issues and is actively collaborating with game developers to release fixes as soon as possible. These issues include:

  • Occasional crashes when loading “Cyberpunk 2077” saves with ray tracing enabled;

  • Devices equipped with AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processors may experience driver timeouts when running “Battlefield 6”;

  • Some graphics cards may experience screen flickering when using AMD recording and streaming features while playing “Battlefield 6.”
