Wuhan University Cracks Longevity Challenge in Perovskite Solar Cells

According to Wuhan University, on February 27, Science published online the latest research results from Professor Wang Zhiping’s research team at the School of Physics and Technology, Wuhan University, in the field of high-efficiency and stable perovskite solar cells. The paper proposes an “atomic-scale interface bonding” technology, using atomic layer deposition to introduce a tunable hafnium oxide (HfOx) interlayer at critical interfaces inside the cell. This approach synchronizes the stabilization of hole and electron transport interfaces at the atomic scale, successfully solving the long-standing challenge of simultaneously improving efficiency and stability in perovskite solar cells.
