Tin Shui Wai Container Parking Lot Truck Rolls Forward and Hits Trailer, Driver Crushed to Death

Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident that occurred in Tin Shui Wai, resulting in the death of a man.

Last night around 10 p.m., police received a report that a man was trapped between two trucks. Upon arrival, firefighters rescued the 76-year-old man, who was found with multiple serious injuries and unconscious. He was taken to Tin Shui Wai Hospital for treatment and was confirmed dead around 11 p.m. that night.

Initial investigation shows that the man was driving a medium-sized truck to an open container parking lot near Tin Ha Road Old Lee House Village. After getting out of the vehicle, the truck rolled forward. He tried to return to the cab to stop the vehicle, during which the truck collided with another parked medium-sized truck nearby. He was trapped between the door of his truck and the trailer of the other truck.

The case is being followed up by the Special Investigation Team of the North New Territories Traffic Division.
