Tesla is planning to build a large supercharger station in Australia, which, upon completion, will surpass the current Goulburn charging station in New South Wales (offering 20 charging spots) to become Tesla’s largest charging station in Australia.

According to reports, Tesla intends to provide more than 25 charging spots at this station, and it is expected that the station will also feature Tesla’s latest V4 Superchargers to support fast charging for new models.

Currently, Tesla operates 148 active charging stations in Australia, of which 80 are open to non-Tesla vehicles.

In terms of sales, Tesla delivered 28,856 new vehicles in Australia in 2025, a 24.8% decrease from 38,347 in 2024, marking the largest annual decline in the brand’s history and the second consecutive year of decline. However, Tesla still maintains a leadership position in the Australian electric vehicle market, holding approximately 28% of the pure electric vehicle market share.
