On the evening of March 19, news broke that Sam’s Club is publicly seeking feedback on the update to its “Return Policy” within the app. Subsequently, some consumers questioned, “Has the Sam’s Club return period changed from 90 days to 7 days?” sparking attention.

In response, a Sam’s Club representative stated that the recent update to the return policy does not involve changes to the return timeframe. The adjustment aims to clarify the applicable scenarios for online exchange requests and to add a post-sale evaluation feature to further improve service transparency and member experience.

According to the draft of the return policy, consumers purchasing items through the Sam’s Club app or the SamsClub mini-program are eligible for a “7-day no-questions-asked return” starting from the date of receipt, provided the product meets the condition of being intact.

However, based on legal regulations and the nature of certain products, some items do not qualify for the 7-day no-questions-asked return. These products will be marked with “No 7-day no-questions-asked return support” on their pages. Please confirm before submitting your order.

Additionally, returns for products purchased at physical Sam’s Club stores are handled according to the store’s publicly posted return policy.

Besides no-questions-asked returns, the draft also specifies detailed rules for products with quality issues. These include: regular goods and fresh perishable items can be returned within the shelf life; electronics and appliances can be returned within 7 days for quality issues and exchanged within 15 days; alcohol (excluding beer) and milk powder without quality problems are not eligible for return; jewelry and gold can only be returned if a national authority certifies a quality issue; custom glasses can be returned in good condition within 30 days, with frames covered for two years and lenses for one year for free repairs or replacements; hearing aids can be fully returned within 90 days if in good condition.

The feedback period for this draft is 7 days. If no changes are made by then, it will take effect on March 25 and be implemented starting April 1. Any modifications will be announced separately.
