People's Finance News, March 20 — The National Immigration Administration released an announcement regarding the pilot implementation of online registration for foreign nationals' accommodation outside of hotels. To further enhance the convenience of life for foreign nationals in China and facilitate the accommodation registration of foreign nationals staying outside of hotels, starting from March 20, 2026, the National Immigration Administration will pilot the online accommodation registration service in 7 provinces (autonomous regions, and municipalities) including Hebei, Liaoning, Zhejiang, Hubei, Guangxi, Chongqing, and Sichuan, and will gradually expand the service nationwide based on the pilot results.

To further improve the convenience of living in China for foreigners and to facilitate foreigners staying outside hotels to register their accommodations, starting from March 20, 2026, the National Immigration Administration will pilot online accommodation registration services in Hebei, Liaoning, Zhejiang, Hubei, Guangxi, Chongqing, Sichuan, and other 7 provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities). Based on the pilot results, the program will be gradually expanded nationwide.
