Tongling City's Multiple Private Economy Development Indicators Lead Anhui Province in 2025
Tongling News Network (Zhu Min, Sun Liang) Recently, the Provincial Bureau of Statistics announced the development status of the private economy across the province in 2025, with Tongling City ranking among the top in several development indicators.
The scale of development continues to grow. Tongling has 1,763 “above-scale” private enterprises, a 5% increase year-on-year, accounting for 89.4% of all above-scale enterprises; 10 private enterprises made the provincial top 100 list, an increase of 2 compared to 2024. Private industrial growth is rapid. The added value of above-scale private industry increased by 10.9% year-on-year, ranking third in the province, 2.8 percentage points higher than the growth rate of above-scale industrial added value. The added value accounts for 45.1% of above-scale industrial output, with private high-tech manufacturing above-scale added value growing by 26.1% year-on-year, accounting for 12.6% of the city’s above-scale industrial added value, ranking third and sixth in the province respectively. Revenue from above-scale private industry reached 125.99 billion yuan, a 6.8% increase, with total profits of 4.27 billion yuan, up 15.1%. The development of private service industries is also strong. Revenue from above-scale private service industries increased by 7.9% year-on-year, ranking fifth in the province, 3.1 percentage points higher than the growth rate of above-scale service industries. Private accommodation and catering industries with above-scale limits saw revenues grow by 18% and 9.9% respectively, ranking first and third in the province. The “Private Economy Promotion Year” initiative is being deeply implemented, with the issuance of the “Implementation Opinions on Further Promoting High-Quality Development of the Private Economy.” The private economy contributes over 50% of the city’s GDP, over 60% of tax revenue, over 80% of urban employment, and over 90% of technological innovation achievements and enterprise numbers.
