Shark Meme in One Minute: One Lost 1.58 Million USD, One Made 880,000 USD
The meme coin market never lacks extreme stories. This afternoon, the Onchain Lens blockchain monitoring network recorded two opposite COMPANY token transactions on Solana, clearly reflecting the wild volatility of this token type. These two stories show that in the shark meme world, luck and misfortune are just a few minutes apart.
“Punished” Meme Sharks: Losing Millions and Then Selling Off
The wallet “3xwR” researched and decided to invest $1.598 million in 444 million COMPANY tokens. However, this optimism lasted less than 60 seconds. In just one minute, the token price plummeted as the wallet had to sell at 105.89 SOL (about $16,300). The result was a huge loss: over $1.58 million vanished.
This is not an uncommon case among ambitious meme token investors. Often, the “sharks”—large investors trying to swim in and make quick profits—are the ones suffering the heaviest losses. Meme coins are inherently unpredictable, and liquidity can suddenly evaporate.
When luck smiles: From $600 to $880,000 in two minutes
While the “3xwR” wallet was “drowning,” another wallet named “8mser” had a completely different journey. With a small capital—only 3.96 SOL (about $608)—this wallet bought 8.33 million COMPANY tokens.
Then, a miracle happened. Just two minutes after buying, the wallet sold everything at 5,736.32 SOL, equivalent to $882,000 in profit. From a tiny investment, this investor made a fortune. This stark contrast makes everyone drool—two cases, same token, same timeframe, but completely opposite outcomes.
Lessons from meme sharks: Why do these moves happen so quickly?
These transactions show that meme coins operate under a completely different logic from traditional assets. Prices can fluctuate by 1,000% in minutes due to limited liquidity and extreme herd mentality. These tokens often lack real intrinsic value, relying solely on community attention and investor timing.
Onchain Lens recorded the entire process in detail, reminding the community once again: meme sharks can be a shortcut to wealth or rapid loss. Their high volatility requires investors to be extremely cautious. Participants need to understand: not everyone is as lucky as “8mser,” and most big sharks like “3xwR” will suffer losses.
Think carefully before jumping into the meme coin world. A wrong decision can become a reality in less than a minute.
