Some THAAD systems deployed in South Korea are being moved to the Middle East

A reporter from CCTV learned on the 10th that some THAAD missile defense systems stationed in South Korea are being transferred to the Middle East.

Previously, on the 6th, South Korea reported that as military strikes against Iran continue, the U.S. is preparing to redeploy some of its forces stationed in South Korea to the Middle East. The South Korean government believes that the U.S. may formally request the redeployment of some forces in South Korea to the Middle East in the near future. Several government sources said that the U.S. forces in South Korea are making related preparations.

On February 28, the U.S. and Israel launched large-scale airstrikes against Iran, prompting Iran to retaliate against Israeli and U.S. bases in multiple Gulf countries. According to Iran’s military reports, several radars of the U.S. military’s THAAD systems deployed in the Gulf region have been destroyed.

Iran proposes conditions for a ceasefire

“The new Supreme Leader will not negotiate with the U.S.”

According to the latest reports from Al Jazeera, Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister Gharibabadi stated that as world leaders intensify diplomatic efforts to end the military conflict, Tehran’s primary condition for a ceasefire is “no further acts of aggression.”

Gharibabadi added that several countries, including Russia, have engaged with Iran to promote a ceasefire.

Earlier, on the 9th, the Kremlin stated that Russian President Putin and U.S. President Trump had a phone call discussing the Iran situation, with Putin suggesting that the conflict around Iran be ended as soon as possible.

On March 9, local time, Iran’s Foreign Minister Araghchi said in an interview that he does not believe Iran’s new Supreme Leader would consider engaging in dialogue or negotiations with the U.S. again.

Araghchi emphasized that oil production and transportation in the Middle East have slowed or even stopped, making the region unsafe. He blamed the U.S. and Israel for this situation. Iran is not responsible; this is a “war imposed on Iran,” and Iran’s actions are merely “legitimate and justified self-defense.”

Trump: Military actions will end soon

Iran: Has destroyed all U.S. military infrastructure in the region

In the early hours of the 10th, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps responded to U.S. President Trump’s comments on the Iran situation, stating that the end of the conflict will be decided by Iran.

The IRGC spokesperson said that Trump is trying to exert psychological pressure on Iran through lies and deception, “but Iran is resisting American and Israeli aggression with courage and firm will,” and “the end of the war will be decided by Iran.”

The spokesperson stated: “The U.S. Navy is operating in an area over 1,000 kilometers from the Strait of Hormuz, and all U.S. military infrastructure in the region has been destroyed. We are continuing to fight with full effort, and how the war ends will be decided by Iran. The Iranian armed forces are ready to protect oil transportation and regional security.” He also added, “Iran’s armed forces are on high alert at the Strait of Hormuz, awaiting the next U.S. aircraft carrier strike group.”

On the 9th, U.S. President Trump said at a press conference in Miami, Florida, that U.S. military action against Iran will “end very soon,” but “not” within this week.
