Supreme Court Report: Combating "Involution" Competition and Hearing Two Major E-commerce "Choose One" Cases

The Fourth Session of the 14th National People’s Congress held its second plenary meeting at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on the morning of the 9th. Zhang Jun, President of the Supreme People’s Court, delivered the work report of the Supreme People’s Court. The report shows that by 2025, efforts will be made to address “involution” competition, strengthen judicial enforcement against anti-monopoly and unfair competition, with 27 cases identified as monopolistic. It also includes cases involving two major e-commerce companies abusing market dominance to force a “choose one” policy, guiding both parties toward mutual benefit and promoting consumption.
