Beijing News (Reporter Wang Ping) March 10 — According to McDonald’s China, the 12th “Pie Day” officially begins. Based on consumer demand, from now until March 15, McDonald’s apple pies and banana pies will return as “Double Mini Pies.” From March 12 to March 14, designated McDonald’s locations in Beijing, Shijiazhuang, and Taiyuan will host offline pop-up events.

It is noted that March 14th each year is World Pi Day, because “pie” sounds like “π,” so McDonald’s China has designated this day as “Pie Day.” Since 2015, “Pie Day” has gradually become a brand festival with a special significance for fans. Following limited-time all-day availability of hash browns and the return of milkshakes, this year on “Pie Day,” McDonald’s is bringing back the most requested apple and banana pies in a new “Double Mini Pie” format. The “Apple Banana Double Mini Pie” is priced at 5.92 yuan. Additionally, from March 12 to March 14, consumers can participate in offline pop-up events at McDonald’s locations in Zhongguancun Legend Square, Chang’an Square in Shijiazhuang, and Wuxiang City in Taiyuan.
