CoinWorld.net March 6 News, according to the final ruling released by the Southern District of New York on Thursday, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has withdrawn its allegations against Tron founder Justin Sun, the Tron Foundation, and the BitTorrent Foundation filed in 2023. Rainberry, the company developing the BitTorrent protocol and BTT tokens under Justin Sun, was fined $10 million in civil penalties and agreed never to engage in securities fraud market activities. In 2023, the SEC accused Justin Sun and his related companies of selling TRX and BTT tokens without registration and of engaging in false trading to manipulate TRX prices. The fine against Rainberry mainly targets its alleged market manipulation activities. Since Trump took office, the SEC has withdrawn multiple lawsuits against crypto organizations.
