Russia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced direct communication between Foreign Minister Lavrov and Venezuelan Vice President Delcy Rodríguez, in which both nations reaffirmed their mutual commitment. During the phone exchange in early January, Lavrov clearly stated Russia’s position: the country will continue providing comprehensive support to Venezuela in defending its national sovereignty and interests.
