On February 17th, Bilibili (hereinafter referred to as “Bilibili”) released data related to the live broadcast of the Year of the Horse Spring Festival Gala.
As the exclusive barrage video platform for the CCTV Spring Festival Gala of the Year of the Horse, during the live broadcast on February 16th, Bilibili’s total barrage count reached 133 million, with an average of 7,700 messages sent per second. The top five most sent barrage messages were: “Huh?”, “Happy New Year”, “I want to verify the card”, “Mom, I’m on TV”, and “I am a real person”. Among them, “Huh?” was mainly concentrated during the performance of “Grandma’s Favorite” by Cai Ming and Wang Tianfang. This marks Bilibili’s second collaboration with the CCTV Spring Festival Gala. Watching the Spring Festival Gala with barrage comments on Bilibili has become an important tradition for young people on New Year’s Eve.
