After 14 years, the United States plans to reopen its embassy in Syria.

The U.S. government recently notified Congress of plans to reopen the U.S. Embassy in Syria after 14 years. According to an official document obtained by The Associated Press on the 20th, the Trump administration informed Congress on the 10th that it would gradually resume operations at the Syrian embassy, with related funding to be initiated within 15 days.
