Hong Kong will announce the railway standards next week

Hong Kong SAR Government Transport and Logistics Bureau Secretary Chen Mei Bao stated today (21st) that railway technology and construction technology have made significant progress in recent years, and with the continuous expansion of Hong Kong’s railway network, cross-border railway projects are being pushed forward tirelessly. The Transport Department, together with relevant government departments and railway experts, has been working hard over the past six months to develop the Hong Kong Railway Standards, which will be released next week. It is understood that the Hong Kong Railway Standards incorporate national standards and other suitable local railway standards, and are adapted to Hong Kong’s environmental conditions. Chen Mei Bao believes that the Hong Kong Railway Standards can promote industry adoption of standardized design, introduce innovative construction technologies and materials, improve the supply chain, and optimize processes, keeping pace with the times and enhancing speed and efficiency.
