In 2025, the country's new photovoltaic installed capacity will increase by 14% year-on-year

The National Energy Administration released data today showing that by 2025, the country’s new photovoltaic installed capacity will reach 317 gigawatts, a year-on-year increase of 14%. Among them, centralized photovoltaic new capacity will be 164 gigawatts, and distributed photovoltaic new capacity will be 153 gigawatts. As of December 2025, the total installed capacity of photovoltaic power generation in the country will reach 1.2 terawatts, a year-on-year increase of 35%. China’s photovoltaic industry continues to maintain rapid growth, and significant progress has been made in the green and low-carbon energy transition.
