On February 19th local time, Gáyor Gergely, Minister of the Prime Minister’s Office of Hungary, stated that if Ukraine continues to block the transportation of oil through the “Friendship” pipeline to Hungary, Hungary will take further retaliatory measures, and is currently considering stopping electricity and natural gas exports to Ukraine. Gáyor Gergely said that Ukraine’s actions are “unacceptable” and violate commitments to the European Union. Additionally, he revealed that Hungary has released its strategic oil reserves, which can support the country for three months. (CCTV News)
