Viewpoint.com News: On February 20, according to data from the comprehensive transportation Spring Festival travel work team, the total cross-regional passenger flow across society reached 339.411 million trips on February 19, 2026 (the 18th day of the Spring Festival travel period, the third day of the lunar new year). This represents a 5.1% increase compared to the previous day and an 11.6% increase compared to the same period in 2025.
Specifically, by transportation mode, railway passenger volume was 13.539 million, road passenger flow was 321.52 million, waterway passenger volume was 1.829 million, and civil aviation passenger volume was 2.523 million. Previous data showed that the daily travel number during the Spring Festival travel period had exceeded 300 million for the first time. According to publicly available information, it is estimated that the total cross-regional passenger flow during the 2026 Spring Festival travel period will reach 9.5 billion trips, setting a new record.
