IT Home, February 5 — Tech media Mac World published a blog post yesterday (February 4) reporting that leaked information from accessory manufacturers suggests Apple is expected to announce the iPhone 17e via press release on February 19 (Thursday).

Regarding the release date, IT Home cited the blog post, noting that Apple typically releases new products on Mondays or Tuesdays (occasionally Wednesdays), and February 19 falls on a Thursday, which deviates from Apple’s usual release pattern. Additionally, the release date for the iPhone 16e was also February 19 (2025).

In terms of updates, the report states that the iPhone 17e will be equipped with MagSafe magnetic wireless charging, with a maximum power of up to 25W. In comparison, the previous iPhone 16e only supported slower 7.5W Qi wireless charging and completely lacked MagSafe functionality.

In appearance, the device is expected to continue using a single-camera design on the back, and the notch at the top of the screen will remain (earlier reports suggested an upgrade to Dynamic Island). The Dynamic Island feature may still require one or two more generations of iteration before being available on the e series.
