Yesterday, gold prices initially dropped sharply, touching around 4850, then rebounded after hitting the bottom. The day saw a V-shaped reversal, with bearish momentum fully released. Bulls gradually regained ground, closing above 4900, and the oscillation pattern remains unchanged.

The US dollar and US Treasury yields have retreated, geopolitical risk aversion persists, and the expectation of rate cuts continues to support gold prices. The domestic gold market is closed for the holiday, and after the holiday, it will align with international prices.

Spot gold held the strong support at 4850, quickly rebounded to around 4970, showing short-term oscillation with a slight bullish bias. Key support below is at 4940-4950, with resistance at 5000-5050. This is a high-level correction, not a trend reversal.

Short-term trading suggestions: if prices stabilize at 4960-4970, consider light long positions with a stop loss below 4940, targeting first 5000, and breaking through to 5050;

If resistance is encountered at 5000-5020, consider short positions with a stop loss above 5030, targeting 4960-4950. During oscillation, avoid chasing orders, strictly use stop losses, and operate with small positions.

The early morning rebound in gold is strong, with solid support and clear ranges. Approach with a cautious, oscillating, slightly bullish mindset. Be patient, wait for the right levels, avoid being aggressive, and maintain risk control for peace of mind.
