The overall market sentiment has been low recently, with the main index showing weakness and many mainstream coins following the correction. Yet, at such times, some obscure altcoins you've barely heard of suddenly start to "perform countertrend," suddenly surging, skyrocketing dozens of points in a short period, almost making headlines on the top gainers list—ZKP is a recent eye-catching example.

Look at the data: ZKP shot up from a low point within a day, with a maximum increase of over 31%, trading volume soared to over 200 million, and transaction volume also exceeded 20 million USD. On the technical charts, various moving averages crossed bullishly, MACD turned positive, appearing strong. The project description sounds impressive: raising 100 million USD for infrastructure, focusing on privacy AI, staged pre-sales creating scarcity... it seems like a promising "potential stock" with strength and vision.

But think calmly: why does it suddenly surge when the overall market is not doing well?

It's simple—attention-grabbing.

When the market is generally dull, with strong wait-and-see sentiment among funds, retail investors hold cash but dare not act rashly. At this moment, if a coin suddenly skyrockets against the trend, it easily becomes the focus of all eyes. People can't help but click to see, discussion heats up, and more follow the trend. Especially those who see the gains and are afraid of missing out, tend to impulsively jump in.

But this is often the riskiest time.

Such sudden price surges are often not driven by any substantial positive news about the project but by someone needing to find a buyer to offload. Pumping up the price, creating a false sense of prosperity, attracting retail investors to follow and buy, and once the price reaches a certain level, early investors or the project team themselves may start to sell off. If you follow in, you might end up buying at the peak, with the price quickly falling back—one pattern after another.

This is not investing; it's "cutting leeks."

Especially for projects like ZKP, although they claim to have strong funding and technological vision, in the crypto field, just pretty words are far from enough. Sharp price swings and abnormally high trading volumes often come with high manipulation risks. Those so-called "stable pre-sales" and "long-term scarcity" can seem powerless in the face of short-term pump-and-dump operations.

Remember a simple principle: when the whole market is raining, but only a small area is sunny, first ask yourself—are others deliberately holding up an umbrella for you? If the umbrella is taken away, you still get wet.

In unstable markets, caution is especially important. Don't be fooled by short-term surges, and don't blindly chase high due to FOMO (Fear of Missing Out). For suddenly hot altcoins, do more research—look into the flow of funds behind them, the real community situation, and whether the project has sustainable progress. $ZKP #加密市场回调
