CZ: Recently, there has been malicious FUD spread by "water armies," and traders need to be responsible for their own decisions.

On January 31, CEX founder CZ spoke during an AMA in response to recent market FUD, stating: “‘Water armies’ have become a very mature industry, usually funded by competitors, and many industries use this tactic. Then there are people paid to spread false information, or to manipulate the narrative and throw mud. It’s actually easy to distinguish who is a water army or attacker. These accounts are usually ones you’ve never interacted with or don’t know at all, typically small accounts with few followers, or newly registered accounts, etc. Some people lost money, for example during the October 10 event, or in recent months, and they want someone to blame. I think these people make up a small proportion, but they have a very loud voice. If you don’t take responsibility for your actions and trading operations, and only blame others, it will be very difficult to succeed in trading. You pressed the buy button, you pressed the sell button. You need to be responsible for your own actions. Just because the button is there doesn’t mean you have to press it; what others say doesn’t mean you have to follow. As far as I know, I have never told anyone to buy a certain coin, nor have I told anyone to sell a certain coin. So, if someone shifts the blame to me, to CEX, or to anyone other than themselves, they really need to reflect on themselves. There are also some people who didn’t lose money around October 10 but still want to pressure me or CEX, demanding compensation or pushing us to buy more Bitcoin, etc. There are such people, I don’t know exactly how many, but there are indeed some.”
