Taiwan Blockchain Industry Ecosystem Map 2026-2027 Edition Officially Launched, Inviting Industry Partners to Fill Out the Questionnaire

Since the birth of the Bitcoin Genesis Block on January 3, 2009, Taiwan’s blockchain industry has experienced 16 years of development. From initial technological exploration to the formation of a complete ecosystem today, Taiwanese teams have garnered significant attention on the global blockchain stage. The Bitcoin and Virtual Assets Development Association officially announces the launch of the 2026-2027 Taiwan Blockchain Industry Ecosystem Map update plan, and sincerely invites all qualified industry partners to actively participate.

From 0 to 1: The Transformation Journey of Taiwan’s Blockchain Ecosystem

In 2019, initiated by AppWorks Accelerator, Blockcast.it, and Blocktempo, the “Taiwan Blockchain Ecosystem Map” began systematically documenting Taiwan’s industry. This map not only captures the development trajectory over the past six years but also witnesses how Taiwanese teams have remained resilient despite market upheavals.

Starting in 2023, the Bitcoin Association took over and consecutively released versions of the Taiwan Blockchain Industry Ecosystem Map for 2023, 2024-2025, continuing to track the rise and fall of various domestic sectors. This bridging work provides investors, policymakers, and international partners with an important window into Taiwan’s industry landscape and also serves as a living record of Taiwan’s blockchain culture.

The Dramatic Change in 2025: Why Repaint the Taiwan Blockchain Industry Map

By 2025, the global blockchain and virtual asset sectors experienced dramatic shifts. Stablecoins moved from fringe topics to policy focal points, with central banks and governments worldwide beginning to seriously examine their roles within the financial system. Meanwhile, new concepts such as Bitcoin national reserves, RWA (Real World Asset Tokenization), and Digital Asset Treasury Companies (DAT) emerged, profoundly reshaping the interaction ecosystem among sovereign currencies, traditional finance, and blockchain industries.

Due to these major market shifts, the Bitcoin and Virtual Assets Development Association decided to produce a brand-new “2026-2027 Taiwan Blockchain Industry Ecosystem Map” based on the previous three-year “2023-2025 Taiwan Blockchain Industry Key Reports and Ecosystem Map,” aiming to accurately reflect the latest domestic industry status. This survey is a crucial starting point for creating this new map.

Should Your Team Fill Out the Questionnaire? Eligibility and Participation

This questionnaire is open to all organizations and teams involved in building Taiwan’s blockchain ecosystem. You are eligible to apply if you meet any of the following:

Team Attribute Indicators (any one of the following):

• More than half of team members are from Taiwan
• The company is officially registered in Taiwan
• The main customer market for the product includes Taiwan
• Founders or co-founders are Taiwanese

Operational Status Indicators (any one of the following):

• Business operations are ongoing and stable
• Have established presence in Taiwan with ongoing activities
• Recently experienced significant business changes or adjustments

If you meet any of the above conditions, your team qualifies to apply.

From Declaration to Selection: The Complete Evaluation and Recognition Process

Completing the questionnaire is just the first step. The association will commission an independent Taiwan Blockchain Industry Ecosystem Map Committee to conduct professional evaluation and review. Key evaluation points include but are not limited to:

Core Evaluation Criteria:

• Whether the team has ongoing public development activities in the past 3 months
• Regular updates on social media or official channels from founders or the company
• Authenticity of product iterations, funding, and partnership progress
• Actual contributions to Taiwan’s blockchain ecosystem

Please note that filling out the questionnaire does not guarantee selection. The production team reserves the final assessment and review rights. However, once selected, your team will be featured on this influential Taiwan blockchain industry map, recognized by domestic and international investors, policymakers, media, and partners.

How to Participate: Immediate Action Window

The association has opened the online questionnaire for qualified teams and organizations to submit applications immediately. This is an excellent opportunity to showcase Taiwan’s blockchain industry strength and gain international recognition.

Important Timeline Reminder: The initial questionnaire submissions closed on December 8, 2025. The association will evaluate submissions and plans to release the updated Taiwan Blockchain Industry Ecosystem Map in the first half of 2026.
