The operation details are incredibly slick. The most outrageous part is that the official version itself became a backdoor; the "authentic" wallet you downloaded is actually a timed bomb. 💣

But fortunately, CZ came out and said that Trust Wallet will be fully compensated, and user funds are safe. The claim process has now been initiated; providing the wallet address, attacker’s receiving address, and transaction hash is enough to apply. Although the loss is really painful, at least it’s not a total loss.

The lesson from this is—no matter how well-known a wallet is, it’s not completely secure. Old tricks like private key management and phishing links still work. With hackers being so active in the crypto space lately, everyone should stay alert, regularly check asset flows, and avoid installing everything into browser extensions.
