Walrus is building a unique storage solution on the Sui blockchain. The core selling point of this protocol is clear: combining privacy protection, programmable storage, and DeFi features to truly return data ownership to users.

From a technical perspective, Walrus adopts RedStuff encoding to achieve low-redundancy storage, and collaborates with Zark Lab to develop AI semantic search capabilities, allowing users to directly retrieve multi-format files using natural language, significantly improving efficiency. In terms of security, extra effort has been made—lattice cryptography is used to defend against quantum attacks, node staking mechanisms constrain participant behavior, and third-party audits provide comprehensive coverage, making security quite robust.

Funding and ecosystem collaborations are also rapidly heating up. a16z led a $140 million investment, Grayscale launched an exclusive trust product, and the global GPU resources from io.net are leveraged to support AI model training. The ecosystem scenarios are expanding across 19 pre-training fields beyond physics, covering areas such as EV data monetization, scientific research crowdfunding, educational data storage, and BTCfi payment product incubation.

In community development, Walrus and the Sui Foundation jointly launched an incubation program, with seven creative teams receiving $25,000 in funding, and the mainnet storage capacity surpassing 4167TB. Developers have also received substantial support—compatibility with TypeScript SDK and Move contracts, a dedicated track at the global hackathon, and technical advisors accompanying innovative projects throughout.

In terms of real-world deployment, Walrus has already served over 50 asset parties, with on-chain assets totaling $800 million, making tangible contributions to helping scientific research projects access data at low cost and accelerate scientific discovery. This series of actions indicates that Walrus is moving from theory to reality.

Wow Walrus, this move is indeed impressive. a16z's $140 million is no joke --- $800 million in on-chain assets? Damn, this scale is much bigger than I imagined --- Just want to know how this privacy protection is actually implemented. Could it be just superficial? --- Quantum resistance is quite interesting. Finally, a project is taking this seriously --- 4167TB storage capacity sounds huge, but how is the actual user experience? --- Grayscale has launched an exclusive trust, which shows that institutions really believe in this --- Red team coding combined with cryptography, the tech stack looks very hardcore --- 50 asset providers, has this data been verified? Feels a bit fake --- Crowdfunding for scientific research is a pretty good direction. Definitely more meaningful than just trading coins --- Moving to Sui, probably to avoid Ethereum's congestion issues --- Natural language retrieval sounds convenient. Can it actually be used, or is it just another marketing gimmick? --- These numbers are probably released by the official sources. Verify them yourself before trusting

Quantum protection has been implemented, this is truly thinking about the future Can this data really be implemented, or is it just another wave of hype $800 million on the chain, sounds great just hearing about it, but how much is actually usable Redstuff encoding is so impressive, why haven't I heard about it before a16z invested $140 million, they might actually release something this time Has anyone used it in the group? How effective is it? Both AI and quantum, really got me stunned 50 asset parties? That's quite a broad coverage Mainnet capacity is 4167TB, feels like it should be enough How does this protocol make money? Has anyone thought about that?

a16z invests 140 million, feels like Walrus is seriously making moves But does quantum cryptography really prevent everything? I'm a bit skeptical Giving data ownership back to users sounds good, let's see how it's implemented later $800 million on the chain, this number looks pretty decent
