Viggo Halseth Takes Leadership Helm at Proximar Seafood Following Executive Transition

Proximar Seafood AS (PROXI.OL) has confirmed a significant leadership shift in its governance structure. Viggo Halseth, an accomplished veteran in the aquaculture sector, will assume the Chair position at the company, stepping in after Kjell-Erik Østdahl’s departure effective January 1, 2026.

Halseth brings substantial industry credentials to his new role. With nearly 40 years of dedicated experience in aquaculture feed production and innovation, he previously held pivotal executive positions within leading global companies. His career trajectory includes serving as Chief Innovation Officer at Nutreco and holding the Chief Executive Officer title at both Skretting Norway and the broader Skretting Group organization. Since joining Proximar’s Board in 2022, Halseth has maintained an active involvement in the company’s strategic direction.

His appointment as Chair will remain in place until the convening of the next General Meeting, ensuring continuity during this transitional period.
