Have you noticed that today's AI is becoming more and more "proactive"? No longer just passive Q&A, but actively recommending content and finishing tasks in advance. It's quite amazing but also a bit frightening—what if one day it transfers money and makes payments on its own?



The current situation is quite awkward. It's easy to let AI write copy and optimize processes, but once it involves payments, it immediately becomes stiff. Either lock down permissions so tightly that AI can't do anything; or open everything up, fearing it might cause trouble.

The KITE project has identified this contradiction. It doesn't aim to make AI agents smarter, but to give users more confidence when they trust it to do the work.

In simple terms, KITE is a blockchain infrastructure tailored for autonomous AI agents. Its core problem to solve is: when an autonomous agent needs to purchase data, rent computing power, hire other agents, or complete transactions on behalf of users, it must meet three conditions simultaneously—fast response, trustworthiness, and strict constraints. Most existing systems can only balance one or two.

KITE's ingenious design lies in its identity structure. Users are the highest authority, holding funds and baseline rules; agents are long-term "actors" that can accumulate reputation and behavioral history; sessions are short-term execution windows with limited permissions and validity periods. This layered design keeps risks confined—lost temporary keys are controlled within small losses; abnormal agent behavior triggers rules immediately. Users no longer need to personally oversee every action but can still maintain an overall grasp of the situation.

This is not just a technological innovation but also a transformation in the trust model of human-AI collaboration.
