I have been tracking this pattern of XMR. The price surged to a key level, leaving a long upper shadow, and filled the gap within this range before pulling back. I opened a long position at this point, preparing for a short-term swing.
This kind of pullback after oscillation often provides good entry opportunities, especially for Monero, which is characterized by volatile movements. The combination of gap filling and support rebound makes the subsequent trend worth paying close attention to.

We definitely need to keep a close eye on the gap filling, just worried that the rebound might be weak.

ngl, gap fills on xmr are classic honeypot setups... i've seen this pattern trigger rugpull indicators 47 times this cycle. that long wick screams liquidation trap to me. not saying your analysis is wrong, but where's the audit report on your entry logic? DYOR fr fr, and maybe add MEV protection to your position before it gets exploited

I've experienced this pattern before. In 2018, there was a long upper shadow filling the gap, then it kept falling to the floor price. XMR's volatility seems to offer many opportunities, but it's actually easy to get crushed. Be cautious; support rebounds sound good, but I'm worried that after the rebound, it will continue to break below.

Damn, this pattern is really awesome. I'm also amazed that you went long after the gap was filled. You really have some guts, brother.

Monero this time really got stuck, I'm also watching the gap fill area, just don't have the courage to take it.

The logic of gap filling is indeed a bit particular when it comes to XMR, but tbh, the long upper shadow + retest signal... depends on whether the trading volume supports it, otherwise it's just the prelude to being trapped.
