Imagine investing 100 yuan in 2020, how much could you withdraw today? For AVAX, this has been a five-year journey.

That was in 2020. AVAX was still relatively unknown, a new player in the Layer1 track, with a price of only a few dollars. No one predicted what would happen next.

During the frenzy of 2021, AVAX took off directly. The 9400% increase shows how crazy the market was. That year, the Layer1 wars were the fiercest, and AVAX, with its Avalanche Rush incentive program, aggressively expanded its DeFi ecosystem, draining funds like a vampire. By the end of the year, it reached a historic high of $146, and everyone was talking about AVAX.

2022 was very ruthless. Macro interest rate hikes, DeFi projects collapsing, Terra ecosystem crashing... The crypto market collectively cried, and AVAX was no exception, dropping over 80%, down to a low of $2. This year tested people's mental resilience.

2023 marked the bottom. Market sentiment gradually recovered, the actual applications of the AVAX network grew, the ecosystem didn't die, and the price gradually rebounded, returning to around $3200.

2024 stabilized. The subnet concept finally found a real-world story, coupled with positive news from institutional collaborations, restoring confidence in the funds. The price stabilized at around $3600.

What about 2025? Institutions are increasing their bets, and the gaming ecosystem is quietly gearing up. Whether it can create another wave depends on whether it can sustain this momentum.

100 yuan over five years turned into 3600 yuan, a 36x return. But this is not luck; it's about being on the right track and enduring all the fluctuations. Opportunities in the crypto world indeed lie within cycles—the question is, can you survive until that moment.

36x, easy to say, but how many people can really hold on from 2020 until now? I don't have that kind of resolve. That moment when you live to see it really hits home; most people gave up in 2022. It's been so long since the subnet was launched, only then do we have stories. AVAX has that kind of temper.

Leverage of 36x sounds exciting, but honestly, I cut my losses during that wave in 2022. Looking at AVAX now still leaves me with some psychological shadows. Reaching that moment is truly a game of probability; most people have already gotten off. If this sub-network really takes off, AVAX still has some room for imagination, but I’ve never really trusted the stuff that institutions hype up. Every coin is talking about the story of turning 100 into 3600, but the key is if you had truly committed your entire position back then, you wouldn’t have survived 2022, and there would be no later story. But on the other hand, is there still a chance to get in now? It feels like quite a bit has already run.

Until that moment... sounds nice, but I just want to know how many people really didn't cut their positions in 2022. This is the crypto world, where storytellers always outnumber those who make money. Imagine a 36x return, but in reality, the accounts of those who cut profits are filled with zeroed-out coins. A 36x return is based on the assumption that you didn't buy the dip at 2 dollars, but who really dares to go all-in at that time?

The key is that in 2022, how many people were eliminated directly during that wave?

36 times, but the question is, how many people can really withstand the hell of 2022? I couldn't hold on.
