Former Prime Minister of Georgia Misses Out on $21 Billion Bitcoin, Suspected of Extortion in Recovery Attempts

[Coin World] Former Prime Minister of Georgia Bidzina Ivanishvili missed a $50 million Bitcoin mining opportunity in 2015, and that money could now be worth $21 billion. This has led him to currently attempt to recover the Bitcoin held by his former advisor George Bachiashvili through alleged extortion and imprisonment. Bachiashvili had obtained a $6.3 million loan from Ivanishvili's bank to mine 24,000 Bitcoins. He was kidnapped for refusing to hand over 60% of the Bitcoins and was sentenced to 11 years in prison in Abu Dhabi.
