Lana Rhoades scammed 1.5 million dollars in NFT: The largest crypto fraud
Artists scamming? It's no longer surprising. We've seen so many celebrities cheating their followers that it seems to have become a daily occurrence. Some settle for a few thousand, but this adult star managed to pocket 1.5 million in less than 48 hours. Let's see how it all happened.
January 2022. Lana Rhoades announces her project “CryptoSis”. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary. According to her, she felt like a superstar after losing 16 kilos and launching her NFT collection. She started minting: 6069 NFTs at 0.1 ETH (250$), which generated a total of 1.5 million.
The promises were outrageous. Land in Sandbox and Decentraland for investors, price manipulation so that everyone made money… Literally guaranteed profits. But as expected, it all turned out to be a scam.
And what was her big excuse for disappearing? She simply claimed that people were being cruel to her on Discord. And so, she vanished with the money.
The most disgusting thing is her indifference. When a father with a 2-year-old child told her that he had invested almost everything in his collection, she coldly responded: “your diapers are too expensive”.
Lana Rhoades is the perfect example of a despicable human being. She scammed millions and mocked investors. And what consequences has she faced? None. This is how the famous steal millions and go unpunished.
