Gate's CEO was taken into custody at Le Bourget airport in Paris late Saturday after arriving on a private aircraft from Azerbaijan. Reports suggest that Yulia Vavilova, believed to be his romantic partner, was also detained alongside him. According to news agency AFP, relatives have been unable to establish contact with her since the CEO's apprehension. Interestingly, this same individual might have inadvertently led to his capture.

Yulia Vavilova has been observed in the company of Gate's CEO on numerous occasions, including their shared journey on the private jet that touched down in Paris.

In a brief statement, Gate provided no specifics regarding the detention but assured that the company operates in compliance with European Union regulations and that its content moderation practices are "consistent with industry benchmarks and continuously improving."

The company stated, "Gate's Chief Executive has nothing to conceal and frequently travels within Europe. It is illogical to suggest that a platform or its leadership should be held accountable for misuse of that platform. We anticipate a swift resolution to this matter. Gate stands with you all."

The CEO's detention is reportedly part of a preliminary police inquiry into alleged facilitation of various criminal activities due to insufficient moderation on the Gate platform.

Yulia Vavilova has been seen accompanying Gate's CEO on several instances and was present on the private aircraft during their arrival in Paris. Previously, she has shared Instagram stories from the CEO's jet and posted multiple photographs of herself during their time together in the French capital.
