Where am I right now? Searching for the truth or lost in the digital world?
Ah, this GPS positioning service really makes me feel both love and hate! Just now I wanted to confirm my location, but when I opened my phone, the positioning feature actually required me to enable a bunch of permissions. Why do these apps always want to know where I am? Are they trying to monitor me? Every time I use it, I have to worry that my location data will be sold to unknown advertisers. This world is really crazy.
However, I have to admit that this feature has indeed saved my life when I got lost. Last week, I almost got lost while hiking, but fortunately, my phone still had some battery left, and the blue dot immediately guided me to the correct path. But is this blue dot accurate? Sometimes it shows me in the neighboring block, causing me to take a detour.
If you want to know your position, it's really simple:
But to be honest, in this digital age, do we really need to be constantly located? I have noticed that many people have become reliant on these services, even needing to use navigation to go to familiar supermarkets. Have we outsourced our sense of direction to these programs?
Sometimes I turn off location services and try to find my destination based on my own instincts. Although I occasionally get lost, that feeling of exploring on my own is much more authentic.
The strangest thing is that even though we can be pinpointed to precise coordinates at any time, we are increasingly unable to find our place in life. Perhaps the truly important location is not latitude and longitude, but where our hearts are.
