Technical Core: How does Portal achieve trustless cross-chain transactions using Bitcoin?

The core breakthrough of @PortaltoBitcoin lies in its BitScaler architecture and Fabric underlying protocol. BitScaler does not rely on traditional cross-chain bridge multi-signature schemes or custodial pools, but instead aggregates multiple peer-to-peer transactions and utilizes the features of the Bitcoin Taproot upgrade to bundle complex transactions into a single main chain transaction. This reduces transaction costs by up to 90%, while maintaining the absolute security of Bitcoin network final settlement.

More importantly, all trading activities of @PortaltoBitcoin are based on atomic swap mechanisms: transactions either succeed entirely or are completely rolled back, with no intermediate states or freezing risks. Users always self-custody their assets during the trading process, with private keys remaining local. Even liquidity providers and validation nodes never access user assets; they only earn fees and incentives by executing off-chain calculations and routing services, fundamentally eliminating rug-pull and misappropriation risks.

@PortaltoBitcoin proves one point: true cross-chain interoperability does not require sacrificing the principle of self-custody. How it is implemented specifically, we will share the Portal Swap protocol in our next article.
