Chromia launches a $20 million ecosystem fund and plans a Mainnet upgrade
A certain relational blockchain platform recently announced two important initiatives at an industry conference held in Singapore. The first is the establishment of a data and artificial intelligence ecosystem fund with a scale of 20 million USD, and the second is the plan to launch a Mainnet upgrade codenamed "Asgard" in the fourth quarter of this year.
The newly established ecological fund will be led by the platform's business development director, aiming to support data-intensive projects and artificial intelligence applications. The director stated that projects handling large amounts of data require data cleaning and automation to realize artificial intelligence, and their platform provides an ideal environment for developers to build solutions that can process, analyze, and respond to complex datasets in real-time.
The co-founder of the platform added that by supporting artificial intelligence and other data-driven solutions, they will seek broader partnerships while further expanding the ecosystem in new directions.
In addition to the ecological fund, the upcoming "Asgard" Mainnet upgrade is also attracting attention. This upgrade will introduce "expansion" features aimed at bringing customized blockchains with new functionalities to the platform. These expansions will be available for use by native applications and external clients, thereby extending the platform's capabilities. Proposed expansion features include oracle solutions, AI model computations, as well as data availability and zero-knowledge proof support.
Earlier this year, the platform officially launched its Mainnet, using an on-chain relational database architecture. This not only enabled effective management of a large amount of interconnected data but also optimized on-chain queries. This architecture allows the platform to function both as an independent decentralized application platform and as a relational data layer based on other blockchain projects.
Currently, the platform has begun to support multiple gaming projects and plans to enter the data market, increasing its efforts in gaming and other industries. According to the plan, the ecosystem fund has started accepting applications, and the "Asgard" Mainnet upgrade is expected to go live by the end of this year. The "expansion" feature will also be developed as planned, with a full launch expected next year.
