A solo Bitcoin miner successfully mined block 899826 using CKpool's solo mining software and won rewards worth around $330k. Experts point out that the miner rents the extra processing power, increasing the likelihood of winning.

CKpool developer Con Kolivas stated in a post on X, "Congratulations to the miner who solved block number 899826 by significantly increasing hash power this week." The miner earned 3.15 BTC, with 327 thousand 625 dollars being the block reward, and the remaining 2 thousand 761 dollars coming from transaction fees.

It was stated that the miner normally has a hash power of 6.11 PH/s per week, but temporarily increased his power to 261 PH/s to mine this block.

Although rare, it was seen in the past that individual miners achieved successful results like this. In April 2024, another miner won a reward of 218,544 dollars with a 1 in 5,000 chance. Previously, despite a 1 in 1,300,000 chance, a successful miner had obtained a block reward of 260,000 dollars.
