Trump's nominee for CFTC chairman, Brian Quintenz, has declared at least $3.4 million in crypto assets, including equity in the a16z fund, the Kalshi platform and derivatives brokers. If elected, he will divest his crypto assets, recuse himself from related matters, and avoid participating in scrutiny for a certain period of time. Quintenz's investment is in the area of CFTC regulation, and Kalshi settled the lawsuit with the CFTC.
