Mizuho Securities: The Fed will at most cut interest rates within the range predicted by the dot plot

On July 11, Steven Ricchiuto, chief economist of Mizuho Securities United States, said that (despite the weak inflation data) the Fed could not really take a "hawkish rate cut", and he warned that there is a risk of cutting interest rates too quickly. "All they can do is cut rates in the maximum range that the dot plot predicts, and the market is likely to price in more than that."
